L’intervento, nel cuore di Roma all’interno di un palazzo del 700, ha riguardato la progettazione integrale e la direzione dei lavori, dalla fase di concept alla cantierizzazione integrale, comprendendo oltre alla riqualificazione impiantistica, il disegno e la realizzazione di tutti gli arredi e allestimenti interni, con particolare attenzione al lighting design.

Assecondando la volontà del committente, in coerenza con il nome stesso della struttura, sono state studiate e realizzate delle camere interamente su misura, esaltando l’assoluta artigianalità dei singoli arredi. Particolare funzionale delle singole camere è la dotazione di vani doccia/sauna a vista, con lavello esterno in appoggio.

Anche in questo caso, la continuità della forma e della materia, culmina nel segno delle testiere dei letti, caratterizzate da un’efficace gioco di luci ed ombre scaturito da un pattern volumetrico di cunei in rovere naturale. Ogni camera è caratterizzata da un’essenza lignea diversa, a restituire un’immagine articolata e riconoscibile all’insegna dell’unicità dell’esperienza ricettiva ‘Unicum’.

The building is a an 18th century palazzo situated in the heart of Rome and the project involved a full architectural design, as well as project management, beginning from the conceptual phase through to the building site, including plant engineering, architectural design and interior design, with a specific eye to the lighting design.

Working with the client, coherently with the hotel’s name, we have researched and developed entirely tailor-made rooms, emphasizing the absolute craftsmanship of the individual furniture. A functional detail of the rooms are the open-plan showers/saunas with external sink.

This is another case where we have worked with the continuity of shapes and materials culminating in the bed’s headrest, characterized by an effective use of light and shade, emphasizing the volume and pattern of the oak’s wooden shape. Every room is defined by the use of a specific wood, in accordance with the articulate and unique nature of the hotel experience ‘Unicum’ aims at providing its guests with.
